Altar Guild Tours This Sunday
The members of the Altar Guild will give guided tours of the sacristy and other "behind-the-scenes" areas of our beautiful church this Sunday after both the 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. services. Join them in the south transept and learn more about St. John's!
Rector Institution and Induction
Wednesday, June 29, will be the Institution and Induction of Fr. Christian Wood, St. John’s XVII Rector. The service will be at 6:00 p.m. This is the feast day of Saints Peter and Paul, and is also the anniversary of Fr. Wood’s ordination to the Priesthood. A reception will follow in the courtyard and Parish Hall. We have created a Facebook event so you can easily share this momentous day with your friends!

Big Plans for St. John's This Fall
As we journey through Summertime, or as we call it in the Church, ordinary time, all the staff here at Saint John’s are busy planning for an exciting new program year. Starting in the fall, we will introduce two new Sunday School classes on Sunday morning: middle school and high school. We will also introduce Children’s Chapel. Your children will
begin the service in the church. At the beginning of the Gospel procession, a cross will lead the children out into the Parish Hall to hear a sermon crafted just for them by our youth minister. Then, the children will return to the church at the offertory. When it is time to receive communion, all children, youth, and their Sunday School teachers will receive communion first and head out to Sunday School.

Significant changes are coming to our adult formation on Sunday mornings, too! Your clergy will lead exciting and informative classes each
Sunday in the Parish Hall. Expect classes on topics like miracles, angels, life after death, and so much more. These engaging and fun interactive
classes will happen right after church and give you something to talk about over brunch!

Look for more details soon!

Summer Sunday School Help Needed!
St. John's Summer Sunday School is here, and we need your help! Can you help teach a day? For the summer, we have a “One Room Schoolhouse” format, held in the Parish Hall. As the Summer Sunday School teacher, you will also be responsible for bringing in an allergy-friendly snack for 10 to 15 people.

All lessons are available in the Parish Hall organized by date for you to prepare before your Sunday. Please sign up today at this link.
The St. John's Wedding Guild
Our clergy is in need of additional volunteers to help in this important ministry of the church. Guild members assist clergy and the family on the Friday and Saturday of wedding weekends, attending both the rehearsal and wedding. Typically, this entails a commitment of about four hours once every four months. Guild members work in pairs, and are trained to guide the bridal party through the “big day“ and help guests and family where needed.

Won’t you consider joining this fun and joyful ministry? Please contact Jan Kelley or Mary Jo Shenk with any questions.
