Food Pantry Sunday: this Sunday, June 4th. St. Mark’s Food Pantry shares bags of groceries on Friday mornings. Items that will help with this mission in our community are: canned goods such as corn, pork & beans, green beans, beef stew and black-eyed peas; dry goods such as Pinto beans and rice; peanut butter, juice (apple, orange). Other items include ready to heat/eat meals like Dinty Moore stew and pop top cans that don’t require a can opener. Also appreciated is dry dog and cat food for Friday Morning Ministry and Meals on Wheels. Items may be placed on the benches in the Narthex.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Help Billie Harland and team at the SHP shop on Fridays at NOON to help sand the wood to remove splinters (vibrating sanders, gloves and dust masks are provided) or help assemble the bed headboards and side rails using a battery drill. Volunteers meet at 2950 Milam St., Suite 4 in downtown Beaumont (second building west of 4th St.)
Participate in the next BUILD DAY, Saturday, June 10th, from 8:15 a. m. – noon. The next bed delivery day will be Saturday, June 17th.
