August 15-19th, 2022
This week’s readings call us to reflect on how we are living our lives. Are we showing justice and mercy in how we live our lives?
Monday, August 15
Isaiah 58:9b-14
As we read this passage, we hear, once again, the call from God to act with justice and mercy. We also hear the promise of great blessings if we go and serve our neighbor and God.

Tuesday, August 16
Psalm 103:1-8
We are reminded in this Psalm of the goodness of God towards us and to bless God for that goodness.

Wednesday, August 17
Hebrews 12:18-29
Once more we are invited to bring our thanks to God for life eternal. We are invited to approach God, not with fear, but rather with awe and reverence.

Thursday, August 18
Luke 13:10-17
God, through Jesus, sets us free from whatever bondage we are experiencing, offering us a new beginning for our lives.

Friday, August 19
Micah 6:8
This passage sums up all that we read during the week. It connects our faith with our actions, our care for those in need with our walk with God.
