Mayor Bemis delivered a powerful, uplifting State of the City address March 15th. The Chamber co-hosted the sold out event. Replay dates of the event will be posted on our website as soon as available.

Luck of the Irish celebrating St. Patrick's Day? Lucky Pastor Fuller knows people from the city like Scott Jury, who can help him through a bad hair day.

Marie Anderson, Marie's Custom Quilting, completes a project for Kayla Viramontes, Something Blue and The Bold Orange. Kayla won the quilt at an AM and Marie made it to Kayla's instructions. Pretty special!

What did you think of the AM at NW Body By Nature (owner Sandi Healey, center of photo)? Matthew Calhoun of JDog Junk Removal & Hauling gave a solid thumbs up to Kirk Moormann, 4site Web Services. Who could argue!

Doterra - Tabitha Wolz - Essential Oil Tips
Ever wonder why essential oils may be a little more expensive than you expected? For a 5ml bottle (about 100 drops) of Rose essential oil, you need about 42 lbs of rose petals or about 8,000 rose flowers.

Norwex - Chemical Free Tips
Choose unscented laundry detergent because the "great smells" are often carcinogenic chemicals. This applies to fabric softeners also. ( Source: University of Washington, "Toxic Chemicals Found in Common Scented Laundry Products, Air Fresheners," Science Daily, July 24, 2008)

Heavy winter rains and wind can wash or blow away mulch and top soil stressing trees and shrubs. Check to be sure roots are not overly exposed. Avoid piling mulch around the trunk of the tree so it does not promote wood decay.

Finding Oregon

Sometimes we forget the true beauty of where we live. Finding Oregon is the compilation of six months of time lapse photography across the state. It highlights the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson, the Coast, Crater Lake, Deschutes River, and more. Take 4 minutes to watch the video and enjoy a breathtaking view of our area.
