This event is hosted by a local non-profit in Wendell called Saddle Up and Read. Saddle Up And Read is on a mission to encourage youth to achieve literary excellence through equine activities.

This is a free event, but we ask for book donations for their farm.

We're very excited to offer a fun, informative program on safety with snakes on Thursday, March 9, at 6:00 pm in the Raleigh Room. This presentation will be an overview of snake safety and diversity in NC. We will also get to meet a corn snake which is local to NC. This program will be hosted by Alvin Braswell. Over the span of nearly 50 years, Braswell has developed a reputation as a leading researcher and conservationist in the field of herpetology.

The Wendell Falls Community Association will be hosting a St. Paddy’s Day Dash 5k on March 11th, 2023! This St. Patrick’s Day-themed race is the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to celebrate the holiday while getting outside and having fun together as a community. Costumes are highly encouraged! Make sure to dress to impress in your most festive green and gold attire...In addition to awards for the fastest runners, there will also be awards for the best-dressed!
