Farmhouse Playground

Dear Wendell Falls Residents,

We're pleased to announce that the repairs to the farmhouse playground have been completed, and the playground is now open for use.

Our annual Egg-stravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, March 16th, from 11 AM - 1 PM. The eggs will be scattered outside of the Lakeside Pavilion and the event lawn. Please do not search for any eggs inside the Farmhouse. We will have staggered times for each of the 4 age groups:

Group 1: Ages 2 & Under

Group 2: Ages 3 - Kindergarten

Group 3: 1st- 3rd grade

Group 4: 4th - 6th grade

We will have face painting, a balloon twister, a flower pot activity led by Myatt Landscaping, and a special guest who will be making an appearance. Magnificent Concessions Food Truck and Hotcakes and Chicken Food Truck will also be onsite.

Although we will have signs for each group at their designated area, please take the time to familiarize yourself with the egg hunt map for your child's age group. We hope to see you there!

The Triangle Model Yacht Club will be hosting their model sailboat regatta at the pond behind the Farmhouse on Saturday, April 13^th. Check in will begin at 8 AM followed by a skippers meeting for the participants at 9 AM. Racing will commence at 9:15 AM.

We are partnering with The Blood Connection again to sponsor a blood drive on April 21 from 11 AM to 4 PM. Each donor will receive $50 in rewards, and each blood donation saves up to 3 lives! Donors must be at least 16 years old (16 & 17-year-olds need a permission slip, which will be at the blood drive), weigh at least 110 pounds, have ID, and be in general good health. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be honored first.  

In honor of Earth Day, Myatt Landscaping is sponsoring a build-your-own flower pot arrangement event at Grove Park on April 25 from 4 to 6 PM while supplies last. The event will be first come, first served. 



The Cousins Maine Lobster food truck will be at Sunset Park on March 26, from 5 to 7:30 PM, serving up some delicious food for dinner!

The Japp's Chop Shop food truck will be at Grove Park on April 4 from 5 to 7:30 PM.

They will have everything from BBQ sandwiches to ribs.

Coney Island NC food truck will be at Grove Park on April 11 from 5 to 7:00 PM. They'll have their famous hot dogs and burgers along with a variety of sides.

Stop by the Atlas Nomads food truck at Sunset Park on April 16 from 5 to 7 PM, to enjoy their delicious Mediterranean food.

The Eastern Wake Senior Center is hosting a Fish Fry Fundraiser on March 22 from 3 to 7:00 PM. All proceeds go to support programs and services offered at the senior center.

The Wendell Falls Women's Group will host the Project Purple Runway fashion show event on April 21 from 2 to 4 PM in the Raleigh Room. This event is in support of The NC Domestic Violence Coalition for Fashion, Fun, and Awareness of the Many Faces of Domestic Violence.
