Ask Your Board Candidates
Yesterday, we announced that as part of our HOA candidates' Meet and Greet social event, we would like to allow each candidate the opportunity to answer a few residents' questions. In order to have a broad-based set, we are asking for residents in good standing to send in nomination-style questions.
Please submit your questions in writing, with your name and street address, to wendellfallsnc@ccmcnet.com before 5 pm on Monday, September 22. The questions will be presented to the candidates in random order to ensure fair distribution of responses.

Tropical Smoothie Café Supports Bella’s Brave Fight Against Osteosarcoma
Meet Isabella “Bella” Harris, a 15-year-old junior at Cleveland High School in Clayton, NC. Bella is a passionate dancer, singer, and actress, and was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. This past May, her world changed when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.
What began as a small bump on her leg two summers ago slowly grew into a painful tumor. After many doctor visits and tests, Bella and her family learned in May 2025 that it was cancer. Just two days later, she was admitted to UNC Children’s Hospital to begin treatment. On July 24, Bella underwent a 10-hour surgery to remove the tumor and reconstruct her leg.
Throughout it all, Bella has shown incredible strength, courage, and faith. While her love of performing is on pause, her spirit shines bright. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, select local Tropical Smoothie Café locations will be donating a percentage of sales on Saturday, September 20 to support Bella and her family. Your smoothie can make a difference!
