Candidate Meet and Greet

Join us in the Raleigh Room on Friday, October 3, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM for an opportunity to meet and connect with the candidates running for the open seat on the Board of Directors. Light appetizers and beverages will be provided for attendees, so please RSVP below if you plan to attend in person!

If you’re unable to attend in person, we’ve got you covered! The event will be recorded and live-streamed, with the recording made available afterward for all residents to review and meet the candidates. A link to the live stream will be provided closer to the event date.

Want to know more about the candidates? Videos have now been posted on the community Facebook Page of each candidate answering a few questions about themselves and what they would like to accomplish if they were elected.

Submit a Question

Additionally, we would like to allow each candidate the opportunity to answer a few residents' questions. In order to have a broad-based set, we are asking for residents in good standing to send in nomination-style questions.

Please submit your questions in writing, with your name and street address, to wendellfallsnc@ccmcnet.com before 5 pm on Monday, September 22. The questions will be presented to the candidates in random order to ensure fair distribution of responses.

Community Reminders

As we move through the season together, we appreciate everyone’s efforts to keep Wendell Falls a safe, welcoming, and beautiful place to call home. Here are a few friendly reminders to help us all do our part:

• Parking: Vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, trailers, etc.) may not park on public or private streets or in alleys within the community. Please avoid blocking sidewalks. If your vehicle doesn’t fully fit in the driveway, it should not extend more than halfway across the sidewalk. Parking in alleys is not permitted at any time. Designated striped parking spaces are available for temporary use by residents and guests, with overnight or short-term parking (up to 7 days) allowed.
• Trash & Recycling: Garbage cans and recycling bins must be stored out of public view except on collection days. Storing them inside garages is strongly encouraged. If you’d like to add a screen for your bins, a DRC application is required for approval. Landscaping or plantings are encouraged as natural alternatives, and if a screen is used, it should be softened with evergreen landscaping on the outside. Pool Season Reminder

As summer winds down, we want to remind you of the upcoming pool closure dates. The Farmhouse Pool is closed for the season, and the Perch Pool will close on Monday, September 29.

Be sure to soak up the last days of sunshine and make the most of your final weekends at the perch pool before next summer!

It’s time for a fall closet clean-out! Join the Wendell Falls Women’s Group for their quarterly Donation Drive supporting The Purple Shoe, a thrift shop dedicated to funding domestic violence services and education. From September 22-26, drop off gently used women’s clothing, shoes, purses, and jewelry at the HOA office on the lower level of the Farmhouse. Donation receipts are available, and all contributions go toward supporting an important cause in our community

Join us for one last splash of summer! Come hang out at the Perch Pool on Saturday, September 27, from 12–2 PM as we say goodbye to pool season with a sunny send-off.

Soak up the rays, enjoy light snacks, and catch those summer vibes one more time before the pool closes for the season. Don’t miss it!

Join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, October 7, from 6 to 8 PM at the lawn beside the Tobacco Barn for a fun-filled family event! We’re excited to welcome the Wendell Police Department and Firefighters as our special guests, highlighting the importance of building neighborhood camaraderie with our first responders. Enjoy fun activities, food trucks, live music, and more!

It's time for our annual pumpkin giveaway with Myatt Landscaping! Stop by Grove Park on Monday, October 13, at 5 PM to pick up a free pumpkin!

Please note that there is a limit of 1

pumpkin per household, and they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mark your calendars for our annual Trick or Trot 5K, taking place on Saturday, October 25 at 9 AM. Registration is now open using the link below! Residents can register for $30 per person, and any non-residents joining can register for $35.

Everyone who participates will receive a spooktacular finisher medal, so get ready to lace up, dress up in your costume, and enjoy a frightfully fun morning!
