Inaugural President's Gala
  A Sold-Out Success 
 
The Kentucky Wesleyan community honored members of the President's Circle, donors who have given $1,000 or more to the College since June 2015, and celebrated the impact and influence of the College at the first-ever President's Gala on April 22 at the Owensboro Convention Center.

The event was presented by Owensboro Health, and Jack Wells '77, a Wesleyan trustee and a member of the Owensboro Health Board of Directors, addressed the crowd on behalf of the hospital. Wesleyan trustee Kelly Frank Green '96 served as M.C. President Barton Darrell expressed his gratitude to investors in the College.

Rogers Fellows Scholars to Arrive in August 
Enjoy the reactions of the recipients
as they were awarded the scholarships!

 
Kentucky Wesleyan is preparing to welcome students from the Clark County (Nev.) School District who will arrive in August, thanks to the generosity of James and Beverly Rogers and The Rogers Foundation. The Rogers Fellows Scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, fees and room and board at Wesleyan.
 The Rogers Foundation was founded by late philanthropist James E. Rogers, a Kentucky-born, long-time
 Las Vegas resident and his wife, education advocate Beverly Rogers.

Dr. Diane Earle Is Recognized by Kentucky Arts Council

Pianist and Professor of Music Dr. Diane Earle has been named the Kentucky Arts Council's featured artist for May and June. She has performed for audiences and spread the world about Wesleyan across the United States and around the world. Dr. Earle, a 32-year member of the Kentucky Wesleyan faculty, is co-director of the music program and artist in residence.

Alumni Association President Emory Clark Reflects on His Tenure
Emory Clark greets the Class of 2016. 

Emory Clark, a 1980 biology graduate, has served as the Alumni Association president for the past two years. He will pass the gavel to Dr. BC Childress '05 this later this month. Thank you, Emory, for your service!

Summer at Wesleyan
  
Kentucky Wesleyan College, in partnership with the Owensboro Family YMCA, is offering Summer Explorations, a fun, one-week enrichment program for middle school students. Held on the Wesleyan campus and taught by Wesleyan faculty, students and staff, the program offers an age-appropriate taste
 of the college experience.

An exciting and challenging week-long immersion experience for students who have completed their junior year in high school!
  • Learn with students from the region, led by Kentucky Wesleyan faculty and staff, in a high-quality academic and social enrichment venue.

Take the Panther with you wherever you go and SHARE YOUR PHOTO
Help us "Spot the Panther" this summer! Submit photos of you in your Kentucky Wesleyan gear everywhere you go for a chance to win the grand prize! Students, alumni, faculty, staff and community supporters are all invited to participate and potentially win the grand prize at the end of the summer. We will also award a prize for best photo from an incoming student. Photos of future Panthers or Panther pets will also be accepted!
