Coming Up
Let's Talk About It - A Periodic Series
Sunday, June 10, 9:00 a.m. in the Ruth Christie Room
Facilitated by Sue Linderman
White people are unaccustomed to talking about race and its implications in their lives. Yet at some level everyone recognizes that racism and prejudice have a profound impact on our communities and our country. We need opportunities to experience the challenges and benefits that come from bringing racial issues into the light of day. All are welcome to join us on June 10th as we continue the journey of exploring our beliefs about race, with openness to differing opinions and respect for one another. At this session, we will discuss taking a knee during the National Anthem.

On Sunday, May 13, our children and youth presented the musical comedy, "Life of the Party: The Story of Mary and Martha," a story about everyone's favorite sisters celebrating the anniversary of Jesus' visit to their home with song, parables, and lots of laughs. The children and youth of Westminster worked tirelessly preparing this wonderful show. Thank you so much for supporting them! Click here to see more photos.

News to Note
Westminster Youth Music Ensemble Plays at AI DuPont Hospital Memorial Service
On Sunday, May 20, eight of our youth, led by Dr. Merideth Hite Estevez, provided music for the annual memorial service for children who passed away at Alfred I. DuPont Children's Hospital in 2017. Two of our youth played violin, four played cello, and two played percussion. The group performed an arrangement of Amazing Grace and sang the "Hymn of Promise" by Natalie Sleeth. This service provides community support for families who have lost children, and the presence of our youth was a great blessing to them in their grief.
