Next Seven Days
Let's Talk About It - A Periodic Series
Sunday, July 14, 9:05 - 9:55 a.m.
in the Ruth Christie Room
Facilitated by Sue Linderman
In recent weeks the subject of 'reparations' has been in the news, especially with the introduction of H.R. 40 - Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act, currently being discussed in the House of Representatives. Our conversation this Sunday will focus on this topic, as we continue the journey of exploring our beliefs about race, with openness to differing opinions and respect for one another. All are welcome to join in this dialogue.
Church Office Hours
During July and August, the church office is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays (except July 26 for Vacation Bible School). On these long weekends when the office is closed, if you have an emergency and need a pastor, please call the church office at (302) 654-5214 and press 6 to leave a message on our emergency voice mailbox.

Cool Building

How is it that geophysicists have such faith? That they believe in a sustainable future? They have invested $41.7 million to renovate their 25-year-old 62,000-square-foot headquarters to make it a net-zero site, a building that generates as much energy as it uses and which creatively conserves water and oxygen as well. The building is cool in summer and looks cool, too! I want to see Christians have such faith, to do such works, to be such stewards of all that God has given us. We built cathedrals. Now what shall we build?
