Guatemala Trip: Highlights and Insights (Tentative)
Sunday, March 29, 10:10 a.m. in Grace Hall
Westminster travelers to Guatemala (Karen Asenavage, Denison Hatch, Jamie Hickey, Arun Loptes, Rachel Psaros, and Carrie Saathoff) will share highlights of their recent weeklong trip to Guatemala. This annual, Presbytery-wide trip strengthened relationships with our in-country partners and broadened our understanding of how they are working to address the critical issues they are facing today. As one traveler put it, "Experience bursts us open at our core and touches us in a way that cognition simply can't." We hope you will come experience our travels and learn about the progress and possibilities of this partnership. Be sure to

Accepting donations through Sunday, May 10
During the season of Lent, Westminster joins other churches throughout our denomination in collecting the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) offering. We will gratefully accept your gift to OGHS through May 10. Please make your check payable to Westminster Presbyterian Church and write "OGHS" in the memo line or give online at
www.wpc.org (click on "Donate Now").

More than 20,000 people lose their drivers' license each year, and more than 40,000 have outstanding warrants for their arrest, due solely to their inability to pay small amounts of court fines and fees arising from misdemeanor cases.

Westminster Supported Butoke Nutrition Program Reaps Results
The child pictured is one of 54 undernourished children since December who are in treatment in the Butoke Nutrition Program. Thirty-two of these children have been successfully treated and released. The Congolese culture values large families while food costs have risen sharply. Butoke's nutrition program addresses family planning, household size, and birth spacing while teaching the families to prepare a nutritious soy porridge made of corn, palm oil and a little sugar. This program seeks to minimize the often deadly effects of malnutrition. We prayfully support this critical program.
