The White Pony Express
Fall Community Newsletter is Here!

Our Annual Campaign launched this month: The Love Exchange!

This campaign features love in action and the way it is shared freely among our White Pony Express volunteers and our community. We are gaining momentum toward our fundraising goal of $350,000—to date, we have raised $55,000!

At White Pony Express, there is no “giver” or “receiver”—It’s a circle—a Love Exchange!

A Climate Action Champion! Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday Visits WPE and Applauds Our Model

During California Climate Action Week, White Pony Express received a visit from California’s Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday and his team. They toured WPE’s Food Rescue distribution center and General Store facilities and learned about our food and goods rescue efforts…
WPE Selected for United Nations Food Rescue Initiative
Our current food systems are not built to deliver sustainable, healthy diets for all. To tackle the issue and to support the United Nations’ first-ever Food Systems Summit, the UN launched an open call, asking respondents to answer the question: “How might we build a better food future for everyone, everywhere?”

A Legacy of Joy in Service

Linda and Jason Saffer are long-time volunteers at White Pony Express. They were customer service helpers at WPE’s first General Store Mobile Boutique in 2014, and at many other Boutiques since then. They also served hot breakfasts at dawn to the unsheltered guests in a church as part of the General Store’s Cold Weather Clothing Program. Read an inspirational quote from the Saffers here!
