| | Mental Health Awareness Month | |
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a national observance that highlights the importance of emotional well-being at every stage of life. It’s a good time to check in with yourself on how you’re feeling, what you need, and where you might benefit from extra support. Small steps, like talking to someone you trust, building a routine, or taking breaks during the day, can make a real difference. RebelWELL also offers programs and events throughout the month focused on mental health and resilience.

A Financial Wellness Note from Rebels Credit Union
Financial wellness is not just about managing day-to-day spending. It’s also about creating a sense of security and having a plan for your savings. In today’s interest rate environment, many people are taking a fresh look at more predictable ways to grow their money and certificates are back in the conversation for good reason.
A term share certificate, the credit union equivalent of a certificate of deposit (CD), allows you to lock in a guaranteed rate for a set period of time. After years of very low savings returns, today’s higher rates have made certificates a practical option again, especially for those who value stability over uncertainty. For money you do not need right away, certificates offer certainty. You know exactly how much you will earn and when those funds will be available.
If you are looking for a steady way to grow your savings, now may be a good time to lock in a high-rate certificate with Rebels CU, your campus credit union located in the Institute for Financial Literacy and Wellness, SSC-C.
To learn more and explore some of the most competitive rates in Las Vegas, visit banklikearebel.com. Rebels CU is a division of Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union, federally insured by NCUA.

Get an Ergonomics Assessment
If your workspace is leaving you sore, stiff, or fatigued, it may be time for a reset. UNLV’s Ergonomics program, part of Risk Management & Safety, offers workstation assessments for faculty and staff to help reduce strain and support day-to-day comfort.
With supervisor approval, you can request an evaluation of your setup, including chair height, monitor placement, and overall positioning. You’ll receive practical, personalized recommendations designed to better align your workspace with how you work.
To get started, submit a request through the Risk Management ergonomics form and schedule a one-on-one workstation evaluation. Supervisor approval is required.
