This Week at the Woodrow Wilson House
Happy Mother's Day!
On May 9, 1914, Woodrow Wilson signed the first Mother's Day proclamation establishing this holiday on the second Sunday of each May "as a public expression of love and reverence for the mothers of our country."

An Amazing Note
In this week’s mail, we received this amazing note, along with a donation to the Woodrow Wilson House. THANK YOU!
The note says it all, “Hello- My wife, Melissa + I visited nearly 3 years ago. We are trying to help as many museums that we enjoyed as we can during this crisis since we know that you are hurting for funds too.”

If you missed #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving to support America’s historic places, it is not too late! All gifts are matched by our long-time partner,
the Robert W. Wilson Charitable Trust.
Virtual Vintage Game Night
Wednesday,
May 13, 5:30-6:30 PM

Due to popular demand, virtual vintage game night is back!. Come say hello to other gamers on Zoom with a cocktail and a trivia contest. Sign up on our webpage for a free game night. This week is Jeopardy.
Trivia question: Who was Wanda Hawley shown on our logo? Wan da Hawley was a silent film star, one of 53 actors featured on a 1916 Movie Souvenir Playing Card deck. Charlie Chaplin, fittingly, was the Joker. Bonus points awarded. You can't win if you don't play!
