Windmill for January 4th, 2024

By PP Diane Good

HUMP DAY, the day President Steve reaches his

halfway point as President of the Club is always

celebrated in a fun Fashion. Today was no different.

The meeting began with President Steve

welcoming everyone, asking PE Benjamin

to recite the 4-Way Test and, acknowledging

Greeter, Janet Schwarts; Pledge leader Bill

Roen; PP Ed Gauld leading us in song of the

day, “auld Lang Syne” and listening to PP

Michael Newman read a fun and entertaining

2023 Limerick Year-End Review. Pres. Steve

finished with a quiz on National Spaghetti Day

(today) with PE Benjamin winning uncooked

spaghetti by naming Marsha Day as the person

who makes the best spaghetti according to

President Steve.

Next up came PP Tom Barron to roast (I mean

toast) current Pres. Steve on reaching the

half-way point of his term still intact. After

defining Hump Day, PP Tom hosted a quiz

without prizes (really???) to make sure we

were all still awake. He ended the quiz with

a President Steve question and then moved on

to define the meaning, history, and origin of

“Day.”  PP Tom’s partner in crime for the day

then came up, PE Benjamin to continue the

prize-less quiz by giving us quotes we had to

finish. For example, “Steve does not like to

think before he speaks”... because he wants to

be just as surprised as everyone else by what he

Says!!”

PE Benjamin ended with some of Pres. Steve’s

Favorite quotes such as, “have you noticed

everyone in favor of birth control are already

Born?!” It was a fun and funny presentation by

PP Tom and PE Benjamin, thank you. In Gratitude for

Pres. Steve’s tenue to-date, he was Given uncooked

spaghetti in honor of National Spaghetti Day!
