Windmill for November 2, 2023

By PP Mark Rogo

The guest speaker today was Dot Todman introduced by PE Benjamin Fisher.

Celebrity Vocal Coach, Dot Todman is a

Singer/Songwriter, Certified Teacher, Speaker

and the original Vocal Empowerment Coach,

known for her ability to go beyond helping

 people to transform their voice.

She began teaching music at the age of 14,

earned three degrees in Theatre Arts Education,

Psychology and Music, plus a teaching certificate, and has since taught in schools, written and directed for choirs of more than 300 people, and coached celebrity singers, actors and speakers of all ages & style for over 20 years.

After surviving a debilitating medical accident, Dot committed to a path of self-healing by applying chakra awareness along with mental discipline, positive thinking and daily breathing exercises.

This experience helped her create C.O.R.E Vocal Power®, the revolutionary method that addresses a variety of vocal issues, helping anyone fall in love with their voice and perform far beyond their own expectation. Dot left us with two very important messages, “Embrace Your uniqueness and let your voice set you free” and, “Where energy goes, life grows”!

Dot had everyone up singing and dancing, harmonizing with each other learning to love their voice. Even Phil Gabriel grudgingly volunteered to join her at the front of the room to demonstrate how we connect with ourselves to give us more control over ourselves. Music plays a big role but, Dot’s take is that the body,

soul and mind are what govern us daily.

It was a fun, energizing and entertaining presentation that all in attendance participated in. Thank you, Dot, for a wonderful presentation.

Thank you to Nanci Cohen for reciting the Four

Way test; PP Ron Lyster was the greeter, on loan

from Walmart, John O’Keefe led us in the pledge; PP Tom Barron missed the meeting as he was getting his haircut, both of them; Jim Crane for his “Thought of the Day” and, PP Ed Gauld for singing “Home on the Range”.

Special mention to Jennifer Poulakidas, associate vice Chancellor at UCLA, Christine Clayburg, prospective member, Trina Torgelson, PP Ed Gauld’s daughter, Susan Fisher, PE Benjamin’s better by far, half, and Sean McMillan, member in waiting for gracing us with your

presence today.
