The speaker today Amy Scruggs is a nationally known country music artist who has opened for such acts as Clint Black, Charlie Daniels, and Trace Adkins. But Amy is also so much more. She is an amazing woman who is also a classical pianist, Media Executive, TV Host, Sales Professional and Best-selling Author. She spoke today on “How to Communicate in the Digital Word”.
With all the digital platforms available today how do you best deliver your message? You have Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Podcasts along with all the traditional news media as well. We were told, to create a dynamic message we need to learn the “art of storytelling”.
Amy gave us techniques, virtual meeting tips, and video marketing tips on making a media presentation which came down to be prepared, be professional, practice your presentation and, be sure your lens is clean!!
It was a wonderful presentation capped off with a video of Amy singing her latest music video, “What if it all goes right?” which has over 120,000+ views.
Guests included Rotary Scholar Riku from Japan, Shauna Greenberg, Brad Galvan a San Diego Rotarian & Amy’s husband and Santa Monica Rotarian, Charles Collette.
Thanks to PP Gordon Fell for leading the pledge, Jim Crane for his “How to seek Wisdom” Thought of the Day and, PP Ed Gauld for leading us in singing “Over Here, Over There” in honor of his grandparents.
Congratulations to President Chris for (finally) delivering a great joke that everyone got!! 😊
