"Back in March, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting the Cushwa crew at Ocelot. The collab DIPA we brewed clocks in at a quite respectable 8.5%. We utilized a base of German pilsner malt and a little rye, plus a hefty addition of flaked oat, oat malt, and flaked wheat for those soft, pillowy feels. At the tail end of the boil, we sprinkled in some Waimea, then hit the whirlpool with Mosaic Cryo. During and after fermentation, we dry-hopped Above with Vic Secret, Strata, and Wai’iti. This mighty mélange of Pacific Northwest and Southern Hemisphere hops summons big flavors of citrus, pineapple, candied grapefruit, and peachy stone fruit, balanced with just a touch of earthiness and dank weed."

"Another collaboration with Cushwa and the counterpart to Above, Below is an 8% hoppy lager, constructed to mirror the core components of its sibling Double IPA. That means we started with the same German pilsner malt base, a similar dash of rye, and a smidge of Carapils. No oats or wheat, though. Let’s be reasonable here. We employed the identical hops in roughly the same order. Waimea at the very end of the boil. Mosaic Cryo in the whirlpool. And Vic Secret, Strata, and Wai’iti as an assertive dry-hop. All those notes of citrus, pineapple, grapefruit, and peachy stone fruit… but in a Double IPL. Which is a style that totally exists and we did *not* make up. To be honest, we’re getting a West Coast IPA vibe from this one."
