A Message from the Principal
Christmas Matters For You
It’s amazing, isn’t it, how much extra baggage has been piled onto the stories of Christmas? Singers can put out a “Christmas” album and never once mention the Baby in the manger. Somehow you can make a whole season out of mistletoe, Yule logs, Frosty, Rudolph, and chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
The only way that the “holiday” will be a holy day for you is if you center your thoughts on the incredible truth that the second person of the Trinity, God from God and Light from Light, thought enough of you to become fully human, just like you.
Here is why Christmas matters: “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death” (Hebrews 2:14,15). Imagine that. He needed a human body so it could be nailed to a cross. He needed human blood so it could be poured out as a sin offering for the world. For you.
And it all started in Bethlehem. What can you say to that
but “Glory to God in the highest!”
I wish you a very blessed Christmas and happy New Year! Enjoy this extended time with your family.

All School Open House
January, 13 12:00pm-2:00pm
On January 13, we will open our school to prospective school families and give them the opportunity to tour the school, receive information, meet staff, and get answers to any questions they may have. Our best recruitment comes through the words of parents, children, and congregation members.

We encourage all current parents to invite another family that could benefit from a quality, Christ-centered education at St. John’s. As an incentive for school families to recruit new students, there is a  $1,000  incentive toward your children’s tuition for each new student who enrolls because of your influence. In our smaller grades (incoming 3 rd , 5 th  & 6 th  ) the incentive is  $1500  per child. We are looking for families that will help give tours. Please contact the school office if you are available! If you tour a family, work with them during enrollment & they sign up, they can be your referral!

Call the school office for more information on how your family can
benefit from this new incentive program.
