District Service Plan Extension Hearing December 5
At the petition of more than 50 Westchase District property owners, Westchase District will conduct a special public hearing to consider extending the District's service plan. The hearing will take place at 9 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, in the first floor conference space at 10370 Richmond Avenue.
Our current service plan expires in 2023. The new proposed plan makes no changes to the annual budget, maintains the 9-cent assessment rate in place since 1995, continues the 11-cent assessment rate cap, and has no impact on current assessments. This plan simply proposes to revise the duration of the service plan to coincide with Westchase District's 380 Area Agreement with the City of Houston.
As our board prepares to seek additional years of project funding from the 380 program, we want to assure the City that we will be here to continue this partnership and bring millions more to our community for transformational projects. At this hearing, business owners and property managers will hear directly from our staff about what has been achieved in Westchase District since our founding in 1995 and how the 380 program will bring millions more to our community. We hope our property owners and stakeholders will attend this hearing. No RSVP is necessary
