She spoke with students about the variety of courses we offer in financial services, namely our Certified Financial Planner™ Certificate Program . She explained the demand for professionals in this field is expected to grow by 32% in the next decade and that employers are seeking talent now to support this industry growth.

Our Certified Financial Planner ™ Certificate Program is registered with  Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc . Successful completion of our program meets the education requirement, making you eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. If you would like to learn more or register, please visit our website .
UNF-CE Shines the Spotlight on Brandon Weinstein!

After being asked what his thoughts were about the Logistics & Supply Chain Management course, Brandon Weinstein, current UNFCE student and a ssistant purchasing manager at Kenroy Homes , responded, “The certification course at UNFCE has, so far, made the industry of Supply Chain & Logistics, which we are heavily surrounded by here in Jacksonville, FL, very transparent. Even with the massive impact Supply Chain & Logistics has on the global economy it sometimes goes unnoticed in conversation, sales & cost control, and formal education.

"This certification has brought me through the history of the industry and has given me a clear glimpse of the future through textbook and real world expertise. Even halfway through the certification class I believe I have acquired the knowledge to give myself as well as my company a competitive edge. I am excited to still have half the course remaining and I am already planning to sign up for another one of UNFCE’s programs upon completion.”

We are thrilled that Brandon is enjoying the course and learning so much! If you are interested in Supply Chain & Logistics and would like to explore our course offerings, please visit our site here .

Hello,
I’m Jessica Murray, program director for professional and workforce development in UNF’s Division of Continuing Education (DCE). I’m relatively new to DCE, having joined the team about a year ago. It’s been an exciting journey to refresh and enhance the professional development offerings. I am happy to bring my four years of experience managing continuing education programs to UNF and to the Jacksonville community. Thanks for your warm welcome and commitment to the programs I manage.

This newsletter is just icing on the DCE cake. The professional development area has so much to offer you. You’ll find that we are updating our curricula and expanding our offerings. Specifically, we have revamped our Leadership Development Certificate , are offering a night/weekend option for our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate , have updated the Logistics certificate courses and will be launching the New Manager Essentials Certificate in February 2018. Stay tuned for other 2018 developments.

If you are a new patron of DCE, I invite you to browse our online catalog to explore the collection of professional development opportunities we can offer you and your organization, from project management to leadership. If you are one of our “regulars” or have not taken a course in a while, I invite you to take a fresh look at our portfolio. We’re growing and opening new pathways to professional development.

I look forward to working with you as our division continues to serve northeast Florida with education and training, as well as lifelong learning opportunities!

Regards,

Jessica Murray
