Rusty Bozman Speaks to Students
of Osprey PALS
As partners with Osprey PALS, t
he UNF Division of Continuing Education is pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the educational, career and personal development of teens and young adults in Jacksonville. Recently, one of our professional development instructors, Rusty Bozman, spoke to the Osprey PALS' students.
Bozman talked about goal setting and developing a plan for success, knowing the pathway may not be straight. He advised them to keep the faith and focus on achieving their own personal version of success.
For over twenty-two years, Mr. Bozman held senior leadership roles in all aspects of human
resources for large publicly traded and private
organizations. He is the instructor for both our New Managers Essentials and Leadership Development certificate programs. Both are designed for companies to enhance their active leaders’ and managers’ skills.

Tim Robinson is UNFCE’s
Teacher Feature for November
Sensei Tim Robinson, of Jacksonville Beach, has been a lifelong student and practitioner of martial arts in many of its traditional styles for over 30 years. He has earned black belts in 5 martial arts: Taekwondo, Karate, Jujitsu, Aikido, Jodo, and currently trains in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
In his self-defense classes at UNF, he uses the most effective techniques from these traditional styles and applies them against any form of attack. Simple, fast, & easy to remember, these basic moves from an eclectic group of martial arts gives students the confidence to defend themselves when needed.

Hello! I’m Valerie Murphy, Assistant Director in UNF’s Division of Continuing Education. I run the LEARN Jacksonville and Test Preparation programs. LEARN Jacksonville consists of
fun
non-credit personal enrichment classes held year-round in the evenings and on Saturdays. We publish three catalogs a year. I started LEARN Jacksonville in 2008. We have a wide array of classes that include categories such as Arts and Crafts, Health and Wellness, Home and Garden, Languages, Technology, Money Matters, Photography, Writing and Wine Tasting. UNFCE also has partnered with First Coast YMCA to offer classes at five of their area locations. YMCA members get 20% off all LEARN Jacksonville courses held at the area YMCA’s.
Our Test Preparation courses include ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT and PCAT. So if you are a parent who wants to enroll their child in a course to better prepare them for the college entrance exam or if you are ready to take that next step to Graduate School, our prep courses can help.
MCAT and PCAT are
fairly new to Test Prep and are perfect for those wanting help getting into Medical School or help with the Pharmacy College Admissions Test.
I have been employed with UNFCE since January 2005 and love my job! Both of my programs have so much to offer the greater Jacksonville area. You’ll find that we are always updating our curricula and expanding our offerings.
If you are new to UNFCE, welcome! I invite you to browse our online catalog to explore our many offerings. I look forward to working with you as our Division continues to offer new and exciting programs and courses in both Personal Enrichment and Professional Development.
