Update on Mission Grant Funds

Churches have used mission grant funds from the Presbytery in a variety of ways.

La Canada Presbyterian used the funds to purchase cameras to expand their audio/video capabilities. As technology becomes more a part of our daily lives, PSF churches are finding innovative ways to reach their members, and to reach new audiences.

One of the new cameras. Often two such stations are used and occasionally even 8 cameras (several are at fixed locations) are used.

This photo shows the monitor that allows for selection of the best view from all the cameras (note that each camera is identified).

The above photo is of the sound system control.

This shows the back-up crew, there to assure that all is working properly.

Charting Cultivate Church

On Sunday, November 13th, we were fortunate to work with the Presbytery of San Fernando to charter Cultivate Church. During the service, we ordained six new elders, formed a session, and worshiped with one another. Watch the video below to learn more about the ideation and creation of this new church for faithful innovators. If you have any questions about Cultivate Church, its ministry, or faithful innovation in the presbytery, please don’t hesitate to contact Nick Warnes at any time. He would love to meet with you and dream with you about what faithful innovation might look like in your context.

Provide Input About Future Presbytery Communication

We are asking all of you dedicated readers of The Wire to help us shape the Presbytery’s future news and events communications. We recognize that some changes in format and frequency may be both beneficial and welcome, but we want to hear from you. Please complete this five-question survey, so we know what our readers want. Thank you!

We want your news!

Do you have a story about your church that could encourage and inspire others? Are there ministry resources that need to be shared? Do you have an announcement that the Presbytery should know about?

Our editorial team will be happy to consider publishing it in The Wire.

Please read our NEW Guidelines for what can be submitted, how to submit, and the new deadlines for each issue.
