This Sunday, May 22nd:
Graduate Recognition Sunday
This Sunday we look forward to celebrating our high school and college graduates! The Dr. Charlie J. Lovelace, III Memorial College Scholarship and the Stovall-Page Scholarship will both be awarded. We'll also hear from the Youth Choir before they go on tour. We hope that you will join us. Whitney's sermon is "You are Beloved," and the scripture reference is Matthew 3:13-17.
Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, Vinton Baptist will host the WBHS Baccalaureate.

Attention: Graduates and Parents
If you are (or have) a high school or college graduate and have not yet contacted the church office with details, please do so this week. Even if your graduate cannot attend one of our morning worship services this Sunday, we still want to recognize you in next week's Witness. If you can worship with us this Sunday, please let us know which service you plan to attend and arrive half an hour early to meet Whitney in the library. We ask that you wear your cap and gown.

Children's Corner
Children's Sunday is always a special Sunday of the year, and I wanted to thank all of the children who participated and filled the morning with joy. There are many ways to worship our God, and you each shared your gifts in a meaningful way. From the music, scripture readings, prayers, handing out pinwheels, and sharing your artwork, it was a day that was celebrated in our Vinton Baptist Church family. You are loved! Peace, Sarah

It will be accessible on our website or through Facebook at that time, or you can watch it at a later date or time.

Please Note: The Ironman triathlon is in need of hundreds of volunteers to help in various aspects of the race, check-in, check-out, etc., and at various times from Friday through Sunday. Youth are welcome to volunteer with an adult. Click here for more info or scan the QR code.

Please note that beginning in June, our Children's Worship "Bible Journey" room will transform into our annual VBS workroom. Our Children's Worship class will meet next door in the 5th grade classroom each Sunday until August.

Boys & Girls Club
This summer, the Boys & Girls Club could use our help providing breakfast and snacks for students attending the summer program. Financial contributions can be made toward the purchase of these items; simply make checks out to Vinton Baptist Church and mark "Boys & Girls Club Snacks" in the memo line. If you prefer to purchase individual sized, peanut-free snacks, please drop them in the bin at the Missions Tables.
The Apple Barn is closing, and all remaining Cat's Meow figures of the Vinton Baptist Church sanctuary are available for sale in the church office. Each figure is $20, and proceeds will be used to purchase breakfast foods for Boys & Girls Club. These are the only VBC Cat's Meows left, so get yours today!
