Women Forward International continues its trailblazing work to partner our next generation of leaders with Afghan women to realize their dreams.

WFI IMPACT

WFI’s program with Partnership for Gender Equity and Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs led to at least 2 companies who work with a total of 10,000 farming families to improve their services to reach more women in 2021.

The Cornell report for the Sustainable Food Trust enabled the UK Real Farming Trust and The University of Coventry Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR) to improve impact assessment through their Social Impact Toolkit to be used by UK-based community food businesses throughout the country.

The Sciences Po team's groundbreaking toolkit for the European Network of Migrant Women on the political inclusion and empowerment of young migrant & refugee women in Europe is impacting 1,000 women in its first year.

WFI's program with Georgetown University's Institute for Women, Peace, and Security provides a toolkit for Afghan women negotiators on Islamic sources of peacebuilding and gender justice and has led to a ripple effect of collaborations.

WFI's program with Pro Mujer led to the creation of an interactive gender mainstreaming workshop that improved the work of 15 directors across 5 countries in Latin America, with plans to incorporate the training into Pro Mujer's digital entrepreneurship center and share it with other Business Development Services providers across the region.

RECENT EVENTS

As we walk in the Light of Afghanistan, Dr. Davis-Packard performed poetry in collaboration with our featured Afghan artists at the Qatar America Institute for Culture's Impart Summit Gala.

WFI convened our Advisory Committee with our Arts Counsel for the first time in November for a dialogue between artists, creatives, policymakers, and visionaries to plan our Designs for the New Humanity event on October 8, 2022.

WFI was honored to host a private reception for Dana Al Fardan, Qatari contemporary composer, songwriter and symphonic artist. Ms. Al Fardan will translate her powerful message of unity into an original score for WFI’s forthcoming docufilm, The Hour.

The Circle of Giving Makes the World Go Round

Inspired by our program “All of Us Taking Care of All of Us” with White Pony Express and Stanford University, WFI presented with Murshida Weyland Conner "A New Paradigm of Life" at the Parliament of the World's Religions 8th convening.
