A s summer comes to a close, we give a sincere thanks to our staff and all those volunteers that helped make this an unforgettable summer.

Marines please don't forget the next Marines meeting is Monday September 16th. In this important meeting we will begin our election process for new Officers.

In September annual MCL Dues must be paid.

A s you may or may not be aware, MCL National no longer sends out annual dues reminders. Dues are due by September 1st every year. If you are not current with the MCL, please come in and see bartenders or mail check for $30 to the attention of Paymaster or Steven Cheney, Sr. Please include your Membership number.

Scholarship Purpose,
Eligibility, and Requirements
Purpose
To grant scholarships to qualified applicants who are pursuing full time undergraduate or technical training at a recognized institution.

Eligible Sponsors
Members in good standing of Marine Corps League Worcester Detachment 144.
Sponsors must be active and attend a minimum of four monthly meetings of the Worcester Detachment 144 in scholarship award year.

Eligible Recipients
Member, spouses, children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren of the sponsor.
The sponsor’s stepchildren are also eligible. 

Requirements
Applications will only be dispensed to sponsors attending a Worcester Detachment 144 monthly meeting.
Completed applications must be returned by September 1st.
If selected you must provide proof of enrollment (Verification Form) from you or your school and returned by November 15th.

Awards
$200 annually for a maximum of four years.
Years need not be consecutive years.
Checks are usually mailed in mid December.
