Wydown United Concert Series
Save the dates for upcoming concerts in the Wydown United Concert Series:
Sunday April 19, 4 PM - Bel Canto Women's Ensemble
Bel Canto is a St. Louis women's choir (of which Hannah Rice is a member). They will present a concert entitled "Timeless" in our church sanctuary on April 19 at 4 PM.
Join us for an evening of choral music that speaks across the ages, weaving together sacred beauty, seasonal reflection, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. From the luminous medieval poetry of Hildegard von Bingen to the radiant contemporary voices of our own time, we invite you into something boundless — music that dissolves fear, bridges distance, and reminds us that we are fully, gloriously alive.
Sunday May 3, 2 PM - Paul Evensen Memorial Chamber Orchestra
The first orchestra concert Tim Clark directed at our church was May 4, 2025. What began as a pop-up orchestra has evolved into an established orchestra - the Paul Evensen Memorial Chamber Orchestra. PEMCO will present an Anniversary Concert on May 3rd in the sanctuary at 2 PM. The theme for the concert is "Peace".

Food Collection for Shannondale Ministries
This month the Wydown United Confirmands and other Youth will attend a retreat at Shannondale Ministries, a mission and retreat center of the Missouri Mid-South Conference UCC. The youth and adult chaperones will leave Friday evening April 24th and return Sunday April 26th after church. As part of their community service work, the Confirmands are collecting items to replenish the Shannondale food pantry. Would you help support our youth and the Shannondale community by bringing non-perishable food items and basic toiletries to church on Sunday, April 12th and April 19th? The Confirmands will collect them in the tower room and transport them to Shannondale the weekend of the retreat. If you are unable to bring items you may donate to the church and the youth will shop on your behalf. Thank you for helping our youth be a blessing to others.

Hawaii Floods - UCC Global Appeal
In late March, Hawaii experienced back-to-back storms known as Kona Lows that caused severe flooding across the Hawaiian Islands. This flooding represents the worst flooding that Hawaii has seen in more than 20 years. Three United Church of Christ congregations, Waialua UCC, Liliuokalani, and Topside Molokai, are directly impacted by the flooding, which is also causing destruction to schools, homes, roads, and airports. UCC churches in other impacted communities are operating as emergency shelters to help as many people as possible. The UCC is asking for donations that will support the long-term recovery efforts of these communities. Learn more and donate HERE.
