PREP FOR SUCCESS WITH THE
Y'S PRESCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMS
|
|
Back this September! We are excited to offer half-day Preschool Readiness programs for children ages 2.5-3. The programs are designed to educate, engage and grow young minds as they get ready for preschool and beyond.
Both our Toddler Plus program for children age 2.5, and the Three Day 3s program for children age 3, are state licensed and feature the Creative Curriculum and CATCH health and wellness activities. Both also include music and gym, with the Three Day 3s also incorporating one swim lesson per week for potty-trained students. The programs follow the same calendar as the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District and will run from September-June.

The Toddler Plus program is open to children who will be 2.5 years old by September 1, 2023. It will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am–12:00pm.
Three Day 3s is open to children who will be 3 years old by October 1, 2023. It will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm. Families have the option of extending the Three Day 3s program an additional hour with Lunch Bunch from 12:00-1:00pm.

WHEN SCHOOL'S OUT, THE Y IS IN! |
Our Y will once again offer its popular Vacation Full Days program for the 2023-2024 School Year.
The program is open to kids in grades K-5 on most days that the Scotch Plains-Fanwood public schools are closed for holidays or scheduled vacation days.
The Vacation Full Days program runs from 7:00am-6:30pm each day and is held at our main Y building. Each day features a fun theme, and several days also include trips to local destinations. View the full Vacation Full Days brochure and learn more here.

SWIM TEAM TRYOUTS TO BE HELD JULY 14, 18 & 20 |
|
The FSPY Swim Team is a year-round competitive program offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction. The goal of our team is to provide every member with an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at their level of ability, from novice to international competitor.
Tryouts for the 2023-2024 Fall/Winter Swim Team will be held on the following dates:
- Friday, July 14 from 4:30-6:30pm
- Tuesday, July 18 from 4:30-6:30pm
- Thursday, July 20 from 4:30-6:30pm
All interested swimmers must register at least 24 hours in advance of each tryout date at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Welcome Center, 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains. There is a $20 registration fee per swimmer.

2023-2024 AFTER CARE REGISTRATION: Registration is ongoing for after care held at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA during the 2023-2024 School Year. Our updated program is open to students in grades K-4 in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District and includes bussing to our Y after school. Learn more about our program and how to register here.
