My House shall be called a House of Prayer for all people
(Isaiah 56:7)
The Year Ahead
We have had a busy 5779. Before Yom Kippur, we took a key role in setting up a safety net for Jews in the Merrimack Valley, in the wake of the gas explosions. In response to the Tree of Life attack, we helped organize vigils, Solidarity Shabbat, and a series of Security Seminars that brought hundreds of attendees from congregations and institutions statewide.  More recently we began a collaboration with InterfaithFamily and partnered with the IAC and CJP for our Israel Resources Forum, hosting community members at a presentation by The Boston Media Room.  We have also culminated preparations for our Israel Unity Mission which departs February 26.

The year ahead continues this full programming calendar.  Read this bulletin closely for upcoming events, and be sure to stay connected.

And speaking of staying connected...We have just launched our new Facebook page! Please like our page and follow along for updates from Israel, upcoming events, and more! And be on the lookout for additional "Israel Matters" bulletins over the next few weeks, which will include highlights from our mission.

 Kol Hakavod Becca

We commend Becca Rausch for her election to the MA  State Senate.  Becca has long been committed to a life of service and leadership.  Becca's commitments brought her to SCM, where she was honorary chair of our AREV launch. These same values catalyzed her successful run for public office.  The Torah mandates "Appoint magistrates and officials in all your gates...and they will govern the people justly (Deuteronomy 16:18)."  Becca has already "hit the ground running," and we know that she will honor the sacred trust that is in her hands.
