Autumn Action for a Balanced Winter
There's a balance of steady anticipation and letting go that happens in the Autumn months as a result of our reflecting on what it is that's most important, and I've written an article about how you can practice Yoga in the home as a way to find some calmness and create space for joy in the months ahead.

Speaking of anticipation, our teacher Annaliese Koltermann heads back to Kripalu this month and Kelly Treiber will be visiting India! I'm so excited for these beautiful souls; and they'll certainly be missed at Breathe Yoga & Wellness. Annaliese prepared a letter to her students, and those of us who stay behind will cover classes. We'll also invite in a few teachers to substitute classes and change some things around a bit to keep it all moving smoothly.

As we simplify, there's still a lot going on at Breathe Yoga & Wellness, so please keep reading and join us when you can! If you have questions about your auto-renew membership, class package, expiration dates, bringing guests, or anything else, please don't hesitate to drop me a note.

Also, we've brought back Warm Detox Flow, which is like a warm hug on a breezy night! At 7:30pm on Thursday's Dorothy will lead this deep warm practice. If you're wondering if this class is for you, please inquire, or see the class description .

Peace,

Rhonda

Speaking of Sanskrit
For the linguists in the group, remember there is no word in the ancient yogic language of Sanskrit for guilt. In yoga, there is no use for guilt. Why spend time feeling guilty about what happened in the past?

Every thing that happens in our lives can be an opportunity for learning and self growth, if we allow it to be. Instead of feeling guilty, choose to learn from mistakes and practice new habits in baby steps: day by day and moment by moment.

Yoga for Seniors
This class continues through October on Tuesdays at 2pm for those who are 55+ and would benefit from a class with a very slow approach into movement and mind-body awareness. The class is $5 and is offered as an agreement with the Burke-Morganton Senior Center. It is likely that the class will continue to be offered beyond October. Watch the schedule at www.BreatheYogaWellness.com.

Yoga for Addiction Recovery Support
Starting 10/6 through December on Tuesdays at 10am, this class is offered by donation. This class emphasizes physical and emotional safety, and requires no prior yoga experience. It's not necessary that you be in a 12-Step program to participate, but it is suggested that students be on an active path of recovery. This class is not meant to be a substitute for addiction treatment. No one may attend class under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Warm Detox Flow
It's back! On Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, Dorothy turns the heat up to 85*F and leads a deep practice. Drink lots of water and bring a towel. This class is not for people who are pregnant or who have any problems with their "cooling system", high blood pressure, or other conditions that could be worsened by heat.
