SF ZooMobile
Last week, the San Francisco ZooMobile visited all of Marina's 7th grade science classes to teach us about how climate change is affecting animals and their ecosystems. Students got to meet and even pet a variety of animal ambassadors.
Arab American Heritage Celebration
April was Arab American History Month, so we celebrated at lunch by having games and prizes that centered around learning about famous Arab Americans and culture! Next month, we will be celebrating Asian/Pacific Islander American Heritage Month at lunch on May 28th. We are thankful for the diverse culture represented here at Marina Middle.
Best Buddies Walk
Marina teacher Ms. Brown, Tatum Himelstein and Brody Andrews (Marina '18) and Jason Toy (Marina '18) participated in the annual Best Buddies Friendship Walk. The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
