Photography Judging Group

Our pilot photography judging program has a new name.

At the New England Garden Clubs, Inc., Business Meeting October 9, 2025, a Motion passed to establish this group as a formal entity.

We are the NEGC Photography Judging Group. As a group, we will continue to

to pursue our mission to educate our members and the public, and to attract new members to our clubs. Our group is growing, with more than 700 participating in our activities. We will continue to offer live and virtual workshops, exhibiting opportunities and training for judges.

The New England Garden Clubs Photography Judging Group is now established and we have 12 of our photographers who have agreed to serve as judges in our NEGC photography competitions.

These NEGC photography judges are amazing photographers whose work has won recognition in photo shows: are participants in in the (GCA) Garden Club of America photography judging program and/ or are professional photographers & instructors, camera club judges or (NGC National Garden Clubs, Inc. flower show school judges.

Someone from each of our New England States will serve as liaison to the The New England Garden Clubs Photography Judging Group to keep us informed of upcoming shows with photography divisions and educational opportunities ! Stay tuned...

If you are qualified, we would like to include you in our list of NEGC photography group judges.

The NE Garden Clubs Photography Judging Group, during the 2025-2026 year, will be offering:

A juried photo competition open to all our NE Garden Club members, with the winners' images to be displayed at our NEGC Annual Meeting Oct 13-14 Killington VT 2026.

A Zoom educational series (subscription)

A Zoom instuctional program meeting with a noted photography teacher. (subscription)

All members of New England's federated garden clubs are welcome to participate in the NEGC Photography Group. We will showcase the work of our garden club photographers, in furtherance of the mission and programs of National Garden Clubs.

Our NEGC garden club members will have access to learning about the art and science of photography thru our activities and publications.

Our New England Garden Club members will have access to online and in-person workshops with noted photographers, thru the Photography Group's membership in NECCC - New England Council of Camera Clubs, a member group of the Photography Society of America PSA.

We will provide photographic educational information to our garden club members; opportunities for dialogue and discussion; image critique and evaluation of members’ images; information about photography exhibiting opportunities; and information about photography judging.

The New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) is a nonprofit umbrella group for 70 camera clubs and photography groups in the New England states (CT, RI, ME, MA, NH, and VT).

Consider taking advantage of PSA's extensive educational opportunities and free programs that are exclusive to individual members.

This remarkable organization offers its members great opportunities for workshops. lectures and field trips for nature photography

They, like PSA, offer contests too.
