Calling All International Vendors
The City of Margate is organizing a new and exciting International Day Festival, the perfect opportunity to sell or exhibit your arts and crafts designed with an international flavor. Whether your products are made in Brazil, Spain, Mexico, or any other country – or if your crafts represent a diverse culture – we want you to participate. You have the option to exhibit or sell your items. There is no cost to register.
Sounds of Sundown Returns First Saturday of the Month
The popular Sounds at Sundown will be held on the first Saturday of the month on February 4 and March 4 at the Margate Sports Complex. Be prepared to sing, dance, and have a blast on this night of live music, food trucks, and lots of fun. Remember to bring your blankets or chairs. Admission and parking are free. The event is presented by the MCRA.
Margate Motion Champions
Congratulations to this great team of Margate Motion swimmers and their coaches for their recent success at the South Florida Recreational Swim League Winter Championship. They competed among 420 swimmers ages 5-18 and came home with impressive medals. These are our champions:
  • Galen Tortorella (2nd place in Boys 13-14, 50-yard freestyle).
  • Juan Pelaez (2nd place in Boys, 50-yard backstroke and 2nd place in Boys, 100-yard individual medley).
  • Lisette Renta (1st place in Girls 15-18, 50-yard freestyle; 1st place in Girls 13-18, 100-yard butterfly; 1st place in Girls 13-18, 100-yard individual medley).
  • Matteo DeClet (2nd place in Boys 11 & 12, 50-yard freestyle; 2nd place in Boys 11 & 12, 50-yard breaststroke; 3rd place in Boys 11 & 12, 100-yard individual medley).
  • Not pictured: Jalanah Deroze (3rd place in Girls 7-8, 25-yard backstroke). 
A special thank you goes to Assistant Coach Andres Sassi and Coach Joanna Brighton.

Schedule of Services
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all City of Margate administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023, including City Hall and the NW Focal Point Senior Center.
 
Open to the Public:
• Parks will be open at regular hours.
• There will be no service interruption for garbage, recycling, or bulk yard collection.
