The City of Beaufort, in partnership with HBF, has proclaimed the month of May 2021 as National Historic Preservation Month in the City of Beaufort.

Historic preservation is a major component in the City’s tourism economy, with more than 750,000 visitors annually who are attracted to the Beaufort’s riverfront location, climate, architecture, and history.

HBF invites the community to come learn about Beaufort’s rich architectural history by visiting the John Mark Verdier House Museum in May. We are proud to promote the slogan of the National Trust for Historic Preservation as we say: This Place Matters!
