The danger of ESD

Why it matters

Sensitive electronic equipment, like the kind in an electronics manufacturing plant or in a healthcare lab or medical setting, can be damaged by a shock of as little as 100 volts. Consequently:

• Sensitive devices could be damaged by ESD without knowing it.
• You experience nothing, but the device is destroyed or data is corrupted!
• Fires and explosions have occurred from static discharge without a person feeling anything
