| Welcome back to The eMule! What's become a tradition, the district puts out an annual outtake edition of unpublished photos around this time when school news is slow following the holiday season. Please enjoy. |

Did the powerful Command Sgt. Maj. Marc Roderick, JROTC instructor, walk right through the wall like the Kool-Aid Man during our past Veterans Day Assembly?

Middle School teacher Peggy Badgley (mother of our chief technology officer Aaron, mind you) attempts her first hashtag on a Magna Doodle last year during Tech Camp.

You can never sneak in a candid shot of a professional photographer; Corey Matthews of the DAR is even prepared to pose while getting a drink of water (below). Also pictured (above) is Junior High student Bryson Morris and mother, Sherry.
(From left) Taylor Barker, Angelica Esquivel and Cynder Potter of the PBHS Class of 2016 convince fellow Montgomery Scholarship recipient Clayton Rone (right) to go with the hand on the hip, to which he obliged. Also pictured is (center) Emily Hogg of the Poplar Bluff Public School Foundation.

Poplar Bluff Realty's own Terry Stewart decided that the photobooth that we labored over for purposes of taking pictures of our retirees - would make for the perfect seat to eat at during the reception. Also pictured is administrative assistant extraordinaire, Kelly Stewart.
You can't pass out pom-poms during the opening football game at Mules Stadium without putting on a small routine - ask Gary Featherston, also of Poplar Bluff Realty (Only teasing - we love PB Realty)!
Temporarily displaced due to construction, Middle School Principal Dr. Brad Owings set up shop in the Administrative Building workroom, and had his makeshift desk shrouded in ferns during summer cleaning.
Also during the Summer of Owings, we had a little fun with Mr. Dill's shepherd's crook.
'The Statue of Liberty' is what we call Lake Road Principal Erica Weadon's pose at the back-to-school convocation.
Pizza wins on this day for Middle School fourth grader Lincoln Warren.
Middle School STEM teachers Keri Jameson and Cody Young are very proud of their 3-D printer.
Everyone has time for a little checkers advice in the Middle School library, even Assistant Superintendent of Business Rod Priest (left).
You can't see it with the naked eye, but if you slow down the speed on your camera, you may find that Superintendent Scott Dill pulls off some great hand gestures during speeches, including but not limited to: (above) raising the roof and the double finger point (below).
Note: Photo credit for the double finger point goes to Chamber President Steve Halter, who can be seen above (left, standing) capturing the actual picture during the Middle School ribbon cutting.

At the Junior High grade level (during Rocket Day), there's a thin line between photo requests (forefront) and refusals (back, left).

Perspective Is Everything
Oak Grove second grader Isaac Stork bends over backwards for a photo opp during the annual Jingle Jog.
And the T-shirt of the year award goes to: Junior High exploring careers teacher Mike Berry.

That's me, the author of The eMule. For the record books, I was technically the first to test out the new turf at Mules Stadium (while attempting to take a picture of the Mule head logo). Also pictured is contractor Tim Smith of K&S, who is appropriately stepping over the unforgiving trip wire.
