God’s Revelation: Creation and Redemption
March 10, 17, and 24 ~ 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall
God, by his Word, through his Word, spoke into existence all that is. In so doing, he clearly revealed himself to all mankind through that creation. But “His Story” was not yet complete. When the time was right, that same Word became flesh, dwelt among us, died, and rose again, opening a door we could not: our redemption. Join us for this special Rector's Forum series as Alan Runyan leads us in this journey from creation to the Cross.

A Call to Step Up
by Katherine Daughtridge
Last April, my husband and I were blessed with our first child. As we approach her one-year birthday, I realize time is already slipping by much too quickly. I find myself scrolling through months of baby pictures on my phone, hoping to somehow savor each memory—to slow it all down. But even as I work to stay present in the moment, my mind inevitably drifts to the future.
I imagine our daughter passing through the different phases of her life—from playing in our backyard to her first day of school, and yes, even getting married. The scenes and settings of these visions are particularly clear, and one appears more often than all the others: St. Philip’s.

The Home Missions Team Announces “Saturday Serves”!
Third Saturday Serving Opportunities Begin This Month
What is a “Saturday Serve”? On the third Saturday morning of each month (September through May), our Home Missions Team will offer an opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to serve together with one of our home mission ministry partners. Financially supporting these ministries is vital, but serving with our hands and hearts will only further the message of Christ’s love and provisions to our supported ministries and people in need they serve.

Roving Smile Ambassador Explores the PR Arena | |
Following the leftover taco controversy earlier this month, Marshall the roving smile ambassador let us know that he is available to help us get rid of any "extra" food we may have in the church office. (If you don't know the controversy we're talking about, don't worry...you're better off not knowing. It was a very upsetting situation involving a dog who did not receive any leftover tacos.)
Marshall's offer, which those who don't know him might assume is self-serving, is actually evidence that he has his church's best interest at heart. After all, what better way to make folks forget about the dog who didn't get any tacos than by posting a bunch of pictures of a dog getting fed all the Wednesday night leftovers his tummy can handle?
If you follow St. Philip's on social media, you already knew about Marshall's offer, and you're probably already disappointed that photo evidence of his leftover consumption hasn't shown up yet. (Don't worry...if Marshall has his way, you'll see plenty of evidence in due time.) But if this is the first you're hearing about it, why not take a minute right now to give us a follow so that you, too, can be among the first to hear about schedule changes, special events, and office helper news?

Amen.
