Property tax relief veto overturned

Lawmakers voted to enact a major property tax relief proposal on Wednesday, passing it into law despite Gov. Brad Little’s objections that the legislation removes an essential school election date and is unnecessarily complicated.

Library obscenity bill advances to governor

“This is not a book ban bill,” said sponsor Sen. Cindy Carlson, R-Riggins. “We are asking libraries to take reasonable steps to prevent minors from accessing materials that are harmful to minors.”
