Greetings!

Sowing Opportunities is at a SIGNIFICANT crossroads in the life of our nonprofit. We are so excited to share with you our latest development, with efforts from Malden, Massachusetts impacting the remote, indigenous village of Chajmaic, Guatemala. However, we still need help to fund this project.

We are sharing these developments with leaders in Malden, Massachusetts so that you can know about the progress that a local nonprofit has made and also to let you know that you can join us now, at the beginning of this new venture and receive public, international recognition if you do.

Please take a look at our latest page, Mini Greenhouses, March-May 2022!
.
Click on the photo above to view a 30-second video narrated by Ricardo San José Roca when he arrived in Chajmaic on Sunday, March 20th for the inauguration of the greenhouse project.
Sowing Opportunities has hired expert agricultural engineer Federico Arriola Cuéllar. He and our project manager Ricardo San José Roca traveled through driving rain (over a 15-hour journey) to get to the village and have coordinated efforts under extraordinary circumstances, demonstrating their deep commitment to the people of Chajmaic, Guatemala and the well-being of this remote, indigenous village.

This moment is the culmination of intensive work, prayer and donations over the past seven years, since we first learned about Chajmaic in January 2015.

Even though the project is getting off the ground, we still have not reached our monetary goal.
In the words of Ricardo, "People are crazy about the project, Fern. The emotion today brought some to tears (me included)."
Efforts towards global economic self-sustainability, global climate change, and stemming dangerous immigration are local issues. We can do something to address these issues right here and right now.

If you, or someone you know, are able to donate, please know that 100% of funds raised always go directly to the people in need in this remote, indigenous village of Chajmaic, Guatemala.

Please share this email with people you know who might be fascinated and want to help with this work. You can contact us at info@sowingops.org .

Thank you for your support and your generosity!
