What have you done for yourself lately?

Greetings!
The holidays are over, and everyone seems to be getting back to normal workweek routines ... whatever form they take in these post-pandemic days. In the midst of all this, we may neglect to take care of ourselves. And that's the theme of this message: health and wellness.
Along with notes about upcoming health-related events, and some relaxing reading recommendations, please check out the "Did you know about our Wellness Kits?" section. It provides information on care kits designed to help people in our community who might need them.
Earlier this week, TAPintoHoboken ran a feature about the renovation of our third floor. Links to the article are under the Books for Children section, which is fitting as it's the new children's (and teens) rooms that are pictured in the article. We are excited to welcome everyone into the new space this spring.
And Happy New Year! Lunar New Year, that is. Starting on Friday, January 20, we have several fun events celebrating The Year of the Rabbit. Enjoy!
Regards,
Jennie Pu

We have added "Code Blue Kits" to our Wellness Kit program. While the Hygiene Kit, Period Care Kit, and Life-Saving Kit are available -- no questions asked -- for pick up at the Main Branch, Grand Street Branch, and the Learning Center, the Code Blue Kits are provided when a Code Blue emergency is declared.
While you may not need these items, we're letting you know about them so that you might share the information with someone who does.

Age of Vice
by Deepti Kapoor
|
"Equal parts crime thriller and family saga, transporting readers from the dusty villages of Uttar Pradesh to the urban energy of New Delhi, Age of Vice is an intoxicating novel of gangsters and lovers, false friendships, forbidden romance, and the consequences of corruption. It is binge-worthy entertainment at its literary best.
"In the shadow of lavish estates, extravagant parties, predatory business deals and calculated political influence, three lives become dangerously and entertainingly intertwined."

"A Look into the Future"
The renovation of the Library's third floor was featured in a recent TAP intoHoboken article. Slated to open in the spring, the new children's and teen rooms are just the first phase of making the library a comfortable, accessible, and inviting space for all.
