Grief Awareness Month holds deep significance for our hospice as we take this time to shine a light on grief and the ways we can better support those around us in their grieving journeys. Throughout November, we’ll be sharing resources and insights on social media to encourage more open conversations on grief, helping evolve societal support for those experiencing loss.

We also invite all staff to join us on November 19 for coffee, tea, and muffins as Dr. Cara Grosset, our Director of Psychosocial, Grief and Bereavement Care, leads an important conversation on "empathic strain," also known as compassion fatigue. Let’s come together to better understand and support both our community and ourselves.

We’ll be taking a group photo on November 19 between 9:30am - 10am – please wear blue to show unity and support.

Check it out here

This display, inspired by the beloved book Tear Soup, will be featured at six Hamilton Public Library locations from November 1 to January 31, encouraging personal reflection on grief.
