Staff News & Highlights

Karen Nowicki is retiring on April 5th. She has been an invaluable asset to our team, serving as the senior Administrator for Volunteers and Camp Keaton.

For over 12 years, Karen has collaborated closely with volunteers, contributing significantly to our operational activities and Camp Keaton's success.

Her legacy will endure, and we are profoundly grateful for her dedication to our organization. While she will be missed, we extend our best wishes to her for a fulfilling next stage in life!

-------------------------

Kurt Dunn, our music therapist, will be transitioning his role to Mimian Cheng, who will start her tenure with us on April 8th. Kurt initially joined KCN as a summer intern just last year, and then continued to provide solace through music in our residential music therapy program. He dedicated six hours per week to residents and their families, and once a month contributed to our Day Wellness program. Kurt is extremely talented and will be missed.

-------------------------

Cara Grosset, Our Director of Psychosocial, Grief and Bereavement, will be taking care of everything related to the Day Wellness Program. Kate, who was leading the program as a volunteer after Janet left, will be taking a break to focus on school. We aim to find someone to fill both the Volunteer Admin Coordinator and Volunteer Program Coordinator roles soon.
