Camp Keaton weekend is finally here! | |
After months of planning, the 36 campers, 27 KCN volunteers, 5 counselors in training, 7 Camp Wenonah staff, and 5 KCN staff, Cara, Kat, Milica, Debbie, and Armila will be heading to Camp Wenonah in Bracebridge. Check out the Camp Keaton Facebook Page for real-time updates over the weekend! | |

Six members of our team will attend the three-day HPCO Annual Conference, which will be held in Toronto from June 9th to June 11th. We can't wait to hear all about their experiences.
Sharon Spence is the winner of the June Callwood Volunteer Award handed out every year on the first day of the conference. Be sure to congratulate her when you see her in the halls!

PRIDE DAY at Day Wellness - June 12th

On Wednesday, June 12th , the theme for the Day Program is PRIDE DAY in celebration of June being Pride Month. In 2021, KCN was the first hospice in Canada to be Rainbow Registered. This recognition means that the organization has undergone rigorous review to certify that we are a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for the 2SLGBTQI+.
Whether you are a part of the community or an ally, please feel free to participate. Wear a Pride shirt (if you have one) or a colour of the rainbow/pride flag. We will also have stickers and temporary tattoos available as well if you want to rock one of those!
David, one of our Day Program clients, will make a speech about what Pride means to him. This will happen Wednesday morning 10:00am-10:30am if you would like to stop by for that. Also hoping we can all get together for one big group photo, if it works with everyone's schedules!

- Focus and take care of our body, mind, and spirit to proactively mitigate stress and burnout and live our best lives at work and in life.
