Dear friends and fellow disciples,

This week. It’s all about this week, these stories, this most holy time for us to remember. I pray that wherever you are, whatever you need to be doing, you'll set aside extra time to read some of the story of this week and give thanks to God for the life and ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus.

As you've heard me say a couple of times now, the week doesn't work without Thursday and Friday. We moved from the waving of palms and happy shouts of "Hosanna" to Jesus gathering with his friends in an upper room for the final time, with betrayal and arrest.
Thursday: Maundy Thursday Service, 7:30pm
In this powerful service, we remember the intimacy of the upper room and that Last Supper as we gather around the table. We remember the words Jesus gave us as he departed, his agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, his betrayal by Judas, his final desperate hours on the cross.
Friday: Good Friday Service & Prayer Walk
We'll gather for a short, intimate service in the sanctuary at 12:00 noon. At 2:00pm, come to experience “ Prayer Walk of the Passion ,” an interactive, intergenerational event depicting the transformative moments of Holy Week. I encourage you to take this opportunity to slow down and think deeply about what Jesus accomplished through the cross. This is a wonderful thing for kids and families to do together. Please   sign up here .
Sunday: Resurrection of the Lord - Easter Celebration
Join us for joyful Easter worship with special music from our Chancel Choir and Brass Ensemble at both services! Enjoy great food and fellowship at the Potluck Easter Brunch at 9:45am in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your favorite breakfast dish to share; beverages will be provided. (Note: If you donated toward the Easter lilies, you are welcome to take one from the Memorial Garden after the 11:00am service.)
Know that this week, as you prepare for Easter, I'm praying for you. We'll feel the weight of the pain and hurt on Thursday and Friday but, my goodness, on Sunday we will rejoice ! Thanks be to God.
