2022 ADM Hall of Fame Inductees:

DCF Grant Applications Due February 1 |
|
The Dallas County Foundation (DCF) 2022 Grant Application deadline is Friday, February 1, 2022, at 5:00 pm.
DCF will fund grant requests that impact the lives of Dallas County residents in the areas of health and human services, arts and culture, youth development, education, recreation, environment, and community betterment.
Applicants must be a 501(c) 3, 5, or 6 organization or 107(b) unit of government; or be affiliated with another organization that has one of these designations.
The grant application deadline is Friday, February 1, 2022, at 5:00 pm.
The Dallas County Foundation, an affiliate of Greater Des Moines Community Foundation was established in 2005 to foster private giving, strengthen service providers and improve the conditions of the communities and rural areas of Dallas County, Iowa.

Recipes From Home -
Sausage Egg Muffins
I've been cooking with my grandkids since they first came home from the hospital. Mostly I'd talk while I cooked, as they got older they'd help at different stages.
One of their favorites is Sausage Egg Cheese Muffins, similar to the "M" version, but tastier.
This recipe makes two sandwiches.
- Enjoy!
Sausage Egg Cheese Muffins
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 English Muffins
- 2 Large Slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese, or 1/4 cup of shredded.
- 2 Large Eggs.
- 2 Large Slices of Breakfast Sausage (3 inches across, Fareway, meat counter)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Pam
- 2 Ramekins, or 4-inch bowls, 2inces high.
DIRECTIONS:
- Toast the muffins while following the next steps.
- Lightly spray Pam inside both bowls. Add one sausage to each and place in Microwave for two minutes.
- Remove bowls from microwave, crack one egg in each. Break the yolk, salt, and pepper each. Cover with a paper towel and cook in the microwave for two minutes.
- When eggs are done, add cheese to each and place a muffin top on each.
- Place saucer on top of ramekin and flip upside down. Remove bowl and put muffin top on the sandwich.
- Put each sandwich in the muffin bag and let sit for two minutes, this softens the muffin and solidifies the flavor.
Notes:
- Use oven mitts when removing bowls from the oven.
- If the muffin bag isn't available, place sandwiches on a plate and cover each with a ramekin and microwave for 30 seconds.
- Microwave times are for a 1,000-watt microwave, you may need to adjust the times for your microwave.
- Enjoy!
