Hello Friends and Supporters,
----Spring has arrived and over the past months Bayaud has been able to sustain or expand our programs and services due to new or renewed grants or fee-for-service funding. This vital support allows for wider and deeper pathways to self-sufficiency for our constituents.
----Our DayWorks program has grown to include the City of Lakewood and DEN (Denver International Airport) that provides transitional work to adults experiencing homelessness with same-day pay, job-training, and job placement. Our mobile laundry and showers now provide services in 10 locations across the metro area.
----The Bayaud Bridge mental health counseling program was awarded new funding to allow for walk-in and phone-in services for Denver residents. Recently recognized by the Food Bank of the Rockies, Bayaud’s Hope Food Pantry provided 3,254 food baskets in 2022. And our BEST (Bayaud Enterprises Staffing Team) temporary agency has been setting up weather-related emergency pop-up shelters for the City of Lakewood and Denver.
----With these program expansions, we are doing more in 2023: hiring more staff, many of whom have moved to our Lakewood offices, and increasing our presence in Jefferson County. In the coming months, keep your eyes open for our revitalized volunteer program so that you can be part of our mission and vision where adults have resources to overcome hurdles to employment.
Thank you for your continued support.
