Heat maps code the changes in sales prices in color. The darker the red color, the more of a decrease in price over the past 12 months. The darker the blue, the higher the increase in price.

What makes these maps of interest is that prices have risen higher in the rest of of Bridgeport than in Black Rock. The price decreases at St. Mary's show up vividly on the map on the left.

Also of interest is the lack of activity in the surrounding towns. Westport, Fairfield,Trumbull, and Stratford prices have been flat or declining. Bridgeport is a growing area of interest to investors and homeowners.

The National Realtor organization recently published a report predicting Bridgeport to be one of the top ten areas to buy a home in the country. Bridgeport came in at #6. This could attract investor and out of town buyers, who may never have considered Bridgeport before. They are predicting a 4% increase in prices for Bridgeport.
