Advice for Screen Time

Be sure your child is following their remote learning schedule. We have a number of breaks built in to daily schedule to help them. Make sure they take their breaks away from the screen. Sometimes children are staying online during break to socialize and that just increases their screen time. So have them walk away during breaks!

Here are some other options we can suggest:

  • Blue light glasses
  • Adjust screen brightness
  • Allow the screen to be in high contrast mode
  • Making sure your child is working in an area with adequate lighting
  • Elevate computer screen to be more at eye-level (use books or boxes to prop underneath)
Help us build our followers while earning volunteer hours!
You can now earn one volunteer hour for following us on each platform of social media! All you have to do is follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter by clicking on the icon above and enter your time: here!

A Message from our PTO
This year, the CCA PTO has decided to pause all fundraising for the school. However, that doesn't mean that the support for our families stops. We would like to compile a list of restaurants owned by CCA families so that we can share it with our community. Now more than ever, the support of local restaurants and small businesses is crucial. Thank you so much for letting us support your restaurant!

Meet the 2020 Cherry Creek Academy Foundation scholarship recipient,
Medha Pan

Hello Cherry Creek Academy! My name is Medha Pan, and I am honored to be the recipient of the 2020 CCA Foundation Scholarship! I had graduated from CCA in 2016 after attending from grades 6 through 8, and am so grateful for all the life skills and memories CCA gave me, along with the self-confidence I grew to embrace. Throughout my journey at Cherokee Trail High School, I dedicated a majority of my free time on the Youth Advisory Board at Young Americans Center of Financial Education, volunteered at the Swedish Medical Center, and had been a part of Student Leadership. This past July, I earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and currently, I am a freshman majoring in Molecular Genetics on the pre-med track at the University of Rochester – although I am studying remotely due to the pandemic. With 2020 coming to a close, I am so excited to see what the future brings!
Know someone interested in applying for the 2021 CCA Foundation scholarship?
Each year, the Cherry Creek Academy Foundation awards a one-time academic scholarship of $1,000 to a high school graduating senior who attended CCA. If you know a graduating senior who might be interested in applying for the 2021 scholarship award to support future studies, please encourage them to make sure their current email address is on file in PowerSchool at If you know a graduating senior who is no longer in the Cherry Creek District, they may email their contact information to Application forms and information will be disseminated in February.
