A Huge Thank You to Our CCA Board Members!
January is School Board Recognition Month! We want to take a moment to say thank you to the wonderful members of our Board who spend countless hours working on behalf of the children and families of Cherry Creek Academy to help make an incredible learning community that is filled with compassionate staff and exceptional children and families. These Board members are unpaid volunteers that work as a team toward our common goals. Thank you for your dedication, your time and perseverance: Tom Malott, Lara Baker, Joanne Jordan, Aaron Castro, Shaden Awada, Kelly Fletcher, Jeff Holwell, and Kathy Underhill!
"Pete The Cat and the Magic Sunglasses" in Kindergarten Class
Last Tuesday was a special day for Mrs. Nusbaum - it was her birthday! She loves Pete the Cat so she decided to give her Kindergarten students a little surprise and gift them all with their very own pair of "magic sunglasses" just like Pete the Cat has! The students wore their "magic sunglasses" while listening to the story "Pete the Cat and the Magic Sunglasses." What a creative way to get the kids involved in the story!
A Note From Nurse Jayne:

With K-4 back in person, we want to reiterate how extremely important it is to keep your child home if they are ill. Please notify Nurse Jayne at if your child has a positive COVID test or if your child has been exposed to someone with a positive COVID test so that we can take the appropriate steps to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Attention Parents of 8th Graders

We still need your help! Please send us two pictures of your child. One can be of your child as a baby or a toddler and one should be a recent photo. The pictures will be shared in our 8th graduation slideshow.

Please send your digital photos with your child's name on them to our Director of Communications, Rachel Brooks at

Thanks so much for your help with this! We look forward to celebrating your students in the Spring!
Safety and Mask Reminder
We are so excited to have our Elementary students back in person. As we are settling back in, we wanted to send a friendly reminder to our families about wearing masks when you are near CCA. We are asking that when you are waiting outside of CCA or walking across the crosswalk that you have a mask on. We want to do everything in our power to remain in person and that means taking every health/safety precaution that we can. We want to thank you for your partnership during this unique time and for your commitment to a safe and healthy school.
